YouTuber Xing’s World has shared a big update on his popular Cat Town project: after two years of work, he’s finished building the entire subway station within the miniature city.
Xing Zhilei, the person behind this latest creation, first gained attention in 2025 when he built a complete subway system for his cats. The tiny station included functional trains, automatic doors, and even escalators perfectly sized for his feline friends.
Now, months later, Xing has expanded the project even further.
Cat Town subway expands for Lunar New Year
Hey everyone, so Xing just dropped a new video on February 11th! It’s called ‘Riding the Cat Subway to the Cat School’ and it’s all about the cool new stuff they added to Cat Town for Chinese New Year. It’s only about two minutes long, but it’s a quick look at everything!
I finally finished building the entire subway station just in time for Lunar New Year! It feels amazing to have it done and ready to show off for the celebrations.
Xing shared a video revealing he’d completed a miniature subway station for his pet cats just in time for Chinese New Year. He explained that it allows his pets to ‘ride the subway’ and experience the process like people do.
He shared that the popularity of last year’s subway station project online inspired him to create a much larger, fully functional station based on real subway systems in China.
A recent video shows adorable scenes of cats using a miniature subway system. They can be seen waiting in line at a tiny customer service window, getting on the train, and riding to a small school in a town built for cats. The video tells the story of a cat named Mr. Nice who takes the subway to pick up his son for the New Year’s holiday.
Xing demonstrated improvements to Mr. Nice’s house, featuring tiny smart lights, a smart laundry system, intelligent appliances, climate control, and even a robotic vacuum. Afterwards, after a quick family discussion – including the cat! – about the child’s grades, they took the subway home and picked up groceries for the Lunar New Year.
Xing shared in the video description that he’s been working on Cat Town for two years, carefully building and adding more and more details to create a fully functional miniature world.
