It’s been verified that YouTube personality Matt Carriker (also recognized as Demolition Ranch) is safe after the Texas floods, alleviating the worries of his followers who had expressed concern for his welfare.
As a passionate follower of news, I can’t help but share the heartbreaking story that unfolded during the 2025 Texas floods. Tragically, more than 95 lives were lost, among them young girls from Camp Mystic, a beloved all-girls summer retreat.
Specialists are keeping a close eye on whether the floodwaters reach the Mid-Atlantic region, and meteorologists have issued alerts about potential additional flash flooding due to slow-moving storms within the state.
In the midst of the turmoil, Desperado Resort/Demolition Ranch suffered severe damage from the flooding. This led Matt Carriker’s fans, who have followed him since his retirement from YouTube, to express concern and reach out for updates.

In the comments section, fans expressed worry about Carriker and questioned whether the tragedy might have impacted him.
Are Matt, his team, and their family okay? If that’s the case, we can be certain they are working tirelessly to support the community. I apologize for the widespread damage on multiple fronts.
The resort responded, assuring everyone’s safety and later added that none of their properties were impacted by the floods.
In January 2025, Carriker chose to step away from YouTube and listed his $15 million real estate for sale. Over a span of 14 years, he had amassed 700 videos featuring him demonstrating and utilizing firearms on the platform.
The Desperado Resort recently revamped their site, providing details about assisting those affected by floods. Furthermore, they’re not alone in offering aid to struggling Texans.
Day has been long today. A town near Kerrville called Center Point was devastated by a flood. They only have one volunteer fire department, and unfortunately, they were overtaken by the water, losing all their emergency equipment in the process. The firefighters barely managed to save their station from being swept away.
