An American theme park has banned a man after he was caught eating chicken nuggets while riding a rollercoaster.
Rollercoasters have many safety rules. You always need to keep your arms and legs inside the ride, and you can’t bring loose items like phones or sunglasses with you.
Ignoring these safety guidelines could cause parts to break off and get lost, or even hurt people underneath. However, many risk-takers still try to bypass the rules and disregard the warnings.
Cedar Point, an amusement park in Ohio, has permanently banned a social media personality for breaking their rules on a rollercoaster ride – specifically, for bringing chicken nuggets along with him.
Man banned from Cedar Point over chicken nugget video
Allen Ferrell was eating chicken nuggets as part of a social media challenge. He posted the video on YouTube and Instagram in late May, and Cedar Point addressed the situation on May 28th.
A Six Flags Cedar Point representative confirmed to WTOL that this guest is no longer allowed in any Six Flags park.
As a huge fan of this park, I was really glad to hear how seriously they take safety! They’ve made it super clear that keeping everyone safe is their top priority, and they won’t tolerate anything that puts guests at risk. Specifically, they don’t allow anything loose on the rides – no phones, bags, or even food, because they don’t want anyone choking. It’s a smart rule, and it makes me feel a lot better knowing they’re looking out for us.
Ferrell described the incident as a “fun challenge,” but was surprised it became a national news story. He told FOX 8 Cleveland that Cedar Point initially considered pressing charges, but they were able to resolve the issue privately.
Honestly, this is the first time any of my challenges have ever gotten me permanently banned. Apparently, the game devs didn’t want anyone else trying it and potentially messing up their game, or even getting hurt in real life if it involved motion platforms. But from my side? It was a blast! A really fun challenge, even if it did get me the boot.
