YouTube is launching a more affordable option for watching live sports on TV, but it will still cost subscribers $65 per month.
On February 9th, YouTube TV announced several new subscription options for its users, including a plan specifically designed for sports fans.
In 2025, a significant disagreement between YouTube and Disney caused ESPN to become unavailable on the platform, and more than 20% of viewers said they were considering canceling their subscriptions.
With this issue now settled, the platform is starting 2026 strong. Beginning next week, fans will have access to even more sports content at a lower price, offered as a separate package from the regular $82.99 YouTube TV plan.
YouTube TV announces $65 Sports plan
According to YouTube, these new plans will give users more control over their subscriptions.
Okay, so the Sports package is where it’s at, honestly. It’s $64.99 a month normally, but new players like me can snag it for $54.99. It’s got everything on ESPN, plus this new ESPN Unlimited thing coming out later this year, and all of FS1 too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a sports fan like me!
This offer saves you $18 on the standard YouTube TV plan, which includes over 100 channels and normally costs $82.99 per month. YouTube TV also offers other plans to choose from.
For $71.99 a month, the Sports + News Plan gives you access to all of our sports programming, plus major news channels like CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, CSPAN, Bloomberg, and Fox Business.
The Entertainment plan is also available for $54.99 per month and includes channels like Comedy Central, Bravo, Paramount, Food Network, and HGTV, plus more.
The $69.99 News + Entertainment + Family Plan gives you everything in our other plans, plus channels kids will love, including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, and Cartoon Network.
YouTube announced it will be launching over ten different plans in the coming weeks, focusing on content like sports, news, entertainment, and family programming. These new plans will be more affordable than its standard YouTube TV package.
These bundles of content are like traditional cable or satellite TV, but instead of coming from a TV company, they’re offered through YouTube.
