For example, 8643 teams registered for the China Open Qualifier, and only one team, Rare Atom, eventually made it through the Chinese Qualifier to earn a single spot. That’s quite insane.

In simple terms, the Shanghai Major APAC RMR competition taking place from 11-13 November 2024 in China is a live event where eight teams participate. These teams are vying for only three places in the initial stage of the main tournament.
The format is simple yet effective, with a double-elimination bracket. All opening matches are best-of-one, and all other matches are best-of-three. The top three teams from the bracket advance to the Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
