BREAKING NEWS! The Curve Finance website—yes, the one everyone and their dog uses in DeFi—just got whacked.
The Curve team hit the big red panic button on X (which, let’s be real, is just Twitter in a fedora) telling everyone: “Stop! Don’t touch that website! Don’t even poke it!” Nobody knows the full story yet, but sources suspect a good old-fashioned DNS hijack—which is hacker-speak for “the internet equivalent of glueing your car keys to a subway turnstile.” 🚃🗝️
Curve Finance Hacked – The Mel Brooks Redux
Turns out, Curve wasn’t going down alone. Like any good disaster movie, it dragged along Convex Finance, Resupply, and basically anyone connected in the DeFi neighborhood. These projects clutched their pearls and announced, “Yes, we have outages. Yes, there’s chaos. But no, we haven’t been hacked! (Yet.) Curve just forgot where they parked the domain.”
The backend is safer than Grandma’s cookie recipe, but until Curve’s web address is back from its unauthorized vacation, dependent sites are faking it till they make it.
Convex’s website uses data from Curve, and Curve’s domain name is currently suffering an attack. As a result, this data is currently unavailable, which negatively impacts most of Convex’s website. Convex’s website is safe but will not work correctly until Curve’s domain name…

DNS hijacking, for the uninitiated, is when internet tricksters reroute your browser to a shady lookalike site. So, one minute you’re using DeFi, the next minute your wallet is emptier than my patience with pop-up ads. 🤑
If you needed another reminder that DeFi frontends have the security of a screen door on a submarine—well, congratulations! Smart contracts may be “decentralized”, but those web addresses are just asking for trouble.
The advice? Simple. For now, don’t sign anything, don’t interact, and just… don’t. Pretend the site is on vacation, soaking up sun in Florida with your Aunt Mildred.
While all smart contracts are safe, the domain name points to a malicious site which can drain your wallet!
We are investigating and working on recovering the access.
No sign of a compromise on our side

The Curve brigade is rallying the troops and promising updates. Stay tuned for more drama, accidental comedy, and hopefully, not a musical number (unless it involves jazz hands—then I’m in!).
That’s the news, folks: DeFi’s front end is still where the real slapstick happens. This story is still rolling, like a barrel of monkeys down a stairwell. More updates coming soon, unless hackers kidnap the update button too! 🚨🎭
