As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but notice that Bernhard’s character seems acutely aware of Gemma’s struggles. It appears that she holds a significant role in her distress.
As Gemma assaults Dr. Mauer while trying to locate Mark, Bernhard’s persona pursues her, shouting, “Gemma, halt,” thereby indicating that she is simply another interchangeable part within Lumon’s sinister operation.
