After many years of memes, design concepts, and dreams, the legendary Alamo Beer from King of the Hill is now becoming a tangible product and will be available on store shelves just in time for the show’s comeback on Hulu.
In December 2024, Hulu teamed up with Alamo Beer Company of San Antonio for a unique collaboration. This partnership aimed to produce the real-life version of the beer featured in the animated series, “King of the Hill.” With complete rights to the show’s intellectual property, the collaboration will result in cans designed according to the original series and a beer described as highly enjoyable, ideal for sharing with friends. The best setting for this brew would be an alleyway, and it should be accompanied by a burger cooked on a propane grill.
However, the release encountered an unexpected obstacle back in February 2025. Alamo Beer Co. sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to a nationwide downturn in beer sales. This development left fans questioning whether Hank Hill’s preferred brew would continue to be produced outside of Arlen.
Luckily, that dream is still alive.
King of the Hill’s Alamo beer is real and on the way
On May 31st at the ATX TV Festival, participants enjoyed an authentic King of the Hill-inspired ALAMO Beer, with initial reactions being extremely positive.

As a gamer, I can’t wait to try this brew that one Redditor described as “smooth and delicious, like sipping on Coors Banquet.” It finishes cleanly, leaving a lasting impression of a phenomenal beer taste. Rumor has it, this delightful beverage is set to hit the shelves sometime between July and August, according to a well-informed source from their stocking team.
This beer is said to have a sessionable alcohol content of 4.4%, packaged conveniently in 12-ounce cans. Moreover, based on testers’ accounts, this brew is described as highly drinkable, living up to its television series’ reputation.
Stirring even more excitement, the Alamo Beer Company playfully commented on a fan’s picture of their beer with this hint: “That’s quite an appealing brew. You can enjoy it very shortly.

As of now, an official release date hasn’t been disclosed, but if things go as expected, fans might not need to wait too long before enjoying the same beer that Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer made iconic.
Initially, it was intended that the beer would debut on store shelves as early as 2025, first appearing in Texas during the first quarter (Q1), followed by a broader national release in the second quarter (Q2) of the same year.
As an eager fan, I’m thrilled about the simultaneous release of the new beer and the grand comeback of our favorite show on August 4! The entire season of 10 episodes will be available right from the start. In this 2025 setting, we’ll see matured versions of our beloved characters. Hank, for instance, is back after a significant propane job in Saudi Arabia, working to secure his retirement fund. He’ll then navigate a contemporary Texas landscape. Can’t wait!
