If you find that your armor seems insufficient and you’re constantly evading arrows as if you were a pile of straw, then you’ll likely require Padded Cloth in the Dragonwilds of Runescape to enhance your protection.
To create some top-notch armor for the game, such as Studded Leather and Dark Mage Robes, Padded Cloth is essential. However, unlike other materials, you won’t find Padded Cloth dropped by enemies. Instead, it needs a touch of crafting magic and upgraded workstations to produce.
Don’t fret! We’ve got a clear guide to transform your raw fabric into robust equipment in no time, although it may take some time, we’re committed to making the process as swift as possible.
How to craft Padded Cloth in Dragonwilds
To make Padded Cloth, first, construct and enhance a Loom. Next, produce Wool Cloth and Rough Cloth separately. Finally, combine these two fabrics within your improved Loom.
Let’s go over the process step by step:
Craft the Loom
First, build a Loom with the following resources:
- 22 Ash Planks: Obtained by chopping Ash trees and processing the logs with a Sawmill
- 4 Bronze Bars: Smelt in a furnace using Bronze ore
- 6 Wool Thread: Made from either Fleece or Soft Animal Fur
Unlock the Loom Harness
Then, upgrade the Loom with a Loom Harness, which requires:
- 18 Ash Planks: Obtained by chopping Ash trees
- 12 Oak Logs: Obtained by chopping Oak trees in the Fractured Peaks
- 4 Iron Bars: Smelt in a furnace using Iron ore
- 12 Wool Thread: Made from either Fleece or Soft Animal Fur
- 4 Ram Horns: Found by hunting Rams in the Stormtouched Highlands
If you don’t have the Loom Harness recipe yet, make sure you’ve smelt Iron Bars before.
Craft Wool Thread and Rough Cloth
To make Padded Cloth, you’ll need both Wool Thread and Rough Cloth. Here’s how you can craft them:
- Wool Thread is made from either Fleece (from sheep or rams in Fractured Plains and Stormtouched Highlands) or Soft Animal Fur (from wolves and chinchompas). Combine 2 Wool Thread in the Loom to make Wool Cloth.
- Rough Cloth is made from either Coarse Thread from Animal Fur (deer, cows, or kebbits in Temple Woods and Bramblemead Valley) or spun Flax (Blue flowers in Temple Woods and Bramblemead Valley). Combine 3 Coarse Thread in the Loom to make Rough Cloth.
Craft Padded Cloth
With your upgraded Loom, place:
- 1 Wool Cloth
- 1 Rough Cloth
This will give you 1 Padded Cloth.
Best uses for Padded Cloth
A crucial component for making advanced armor and equipment is known as Padded Fabric. This includes items like the Studded Leather Cowl, Body, and Chaps, as well as the Dark Mage Hood, Robes, and Robe Legs.
