How Drummond gets a fitting death in Severance S2 finale

During the course of their collaboration to save Gemma, Innie Mark and Outie Mark find themselves halfway through their efforts. It is then that Innie Mark goes to the Export Hall in search of Gemma. While looking for her, Innie Mark encounters a formidable Lumon enforcer named Mr. Drummond.

Here’s what transpires next: A fierce altercation ensues between the duo, giving an unfair advantage to Drummond due to his towering size. He easily throws Mark against the walls of the corridor. In retaliation, Mark resorts to biting Drummond, but it doesn’t take long before he’s overpowered once more. Gradually, the life is strangled out of him.

At a critical moment when it seemed like Mark was about to perish, Lorne from Mammalians Nurturable intervened by pointing a bolt gun at Drummond. A battle between them followed, culminating in Mark seizing the gun and making Drummond his captive instead.

After that, the duo descends in an elevator towards the Testing Area. Mark instructs Drummond to guide him to Gemma. However, as they’re going down, Mark changes his position from Innie to Outie, and during the rocky transition, he unintentionally pulls the trigger.

The bolt strikes the enforcer’s throat, causing a torrent of blood to spill between them. Eventually, Drummond succumbs, bleeding profusely onto the ground below.

Suddenly, an unexpected moment unfolds with a darkly humorous impact, mirroring the astonishment on Mark’s face and the audience’s reactions. The monster, poised to afflict a lamb named Emile with a bolt, ironically receives the same fate – a bolt piercing its own neck.
