As the release of Ballerina nears, leading actress Ana de Armas shared her insights on her character transitioning to John Wick 5.
A Ballerina character is set to trail the assassin Eve Macarro, delving into the enigmatic criminal network reminiscent of the John Wick world, with the intention of administering a unique form of retribution.
Earlier scenes from the film have shown that the renowned character of John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, will indeed feature in it. Moreover, it seems there might be a fierce confrontation between John Wick and Eve, where they engage in hand-to-hand combat.
Ana De Armas on Ballerina & John Wick 5 Crossover
“I Mean, They Already Know Each Other…”
In a mock-up of the Continental hotel lobby at the John Wick Experience in Las Vegas, Russ Milheim from TopMob chatted with Ana de Armas, best known for her role in Ballerina, about the possibility of her featuring in John Wick 5.
- TopMob: “John Wick 5 was talked about yesterday. Is that something you hope to be a part of one day, or is Ballerina gonna be separate?”
As a movie lover, I can’t help but express my enthusiasm for this idea! It certainly sounds intriguing. Why not have them together? After all, they’ve previously shared the silver screen, haven’t they? To me, it just seems like a natural fit. Truly, the prospect of their reunion is nothing short of exciting and promising.
What Would Ballerina in John Wick 5 Look Like?
In the film “Ballerina“, it remains uncertain how Eve Macarro and John Wick cross paths, but there’s little doubt that they will both make it through their encounter.
Apart from featuring in John Wick 4, it appears that Wick will need to refute rumors about his premature demise, since there’s a John Wick 5 on the horizon too.
Including Ana de Armas’ character Eve in the fifth installment of “John Wick” is a clever and straightforward decision. Through the movie “Ballerina,” we’ll see a strained beginning between her and John, but fans would eagerly anticipate their potential reconciliation and team-up in Keanu Reeves’ upcoming adventure.
Absolutely, collaborating with this team doesn’t have to mean excluding the prospect of Armas getting her own film series. In fact, as John Wick producer Erica Lee mentioned to TopMob, such a series could indeed be perfect for her.
Ballerina hits theaters on June 6, 2025.
