You Can Stream Andor for Free Before Season 2 but There’s a Big Catch

As a hardcore gamer, I can’t help but feel a bit torn. In less than a month, the highly-anticipated Andor Season 2 will grace our screens on Disney+. However, here’s a twist: the expansive Star Wars universe is accessible for streaming right now… sort of.

But let me tell you, there’s a gigantic caveat to this offer. It’s like finding an awesome game in a bargain bin, but it requires you to complete a near-impossible quest just to play it! So, while I’m excited for Andor Season 2, I can’t help but wonder if the journey to access the Star Wars franchise is worth it.

It’s now three years since we last caught up with Cassian Andor on our screens, and the Star Wars television series that have aired since then have seen mixed results, to say the least. However, the anticipation for Andor is at an all-time high among fans, making its return highly anticipated.

We anticipate that Season 2, commencing on April 22, will last for a span of four years, eventually reaching the timeline where Rogue One takes over the storyline to undermine the Death Star. Each episode will progress through about three days within this four-year timeframe, and we’ll resume a year after Season 1 concluded.

While this is exciting news, there’s still more than a month to go until the highly-anticipated episodes become available… In other words, you can currently stream episodes of Andor at no cost, but those that you’re most eager for have yet to be released.

Three episodes of Andor Season 1 are streaming on YouTube

Enjoy the initial three episodes (Episodes 1-3) of Andor Season 1, now available for free streaming on YouTube! You can locate it on the official Star Wars channel. Regrettably, to continue watching further episodes or Season 2, you’ll require a Disney+ subscription.

The episode synopses are as follows:

  • Episode 1: ‘Kassa’
    • When Cassian Andor’s reckless search for answers about his missing makes him a wanted man, he returns to his home planet in hopes of selling illegal ship parts and reconnecting with his mother.
  • Episode 2: ‘That Would Be Me’
    • Cassian hurries to settle his affairs on Ferrix with friends and family as tactical forces close in on him, led by the conniving Karn, an agent driven by an obsession to preserve law and order.
  • Episode 3: ‘Reckoning’
    • The siege tightens as the armoured troops close in on the fugitive Cassian Andor. Desperate to escape arrest, Cassian contacts a mysterious but well-connected man who could provide him with money.

Furthermore, a freshly unveiled 14-minute compilation of Season 1 serves as a reminder for viewers, providing them with a concise overview, just in time before the next season kicks off.

The situation regarding the streaming service seems to deteriorate slightly: unfortunately, there’s no free trial available. If you don’t already have an account, your first cost would be $10 per month. Additionally, there will be a price hike in the fall, so it turns out that paying now is actually the more affordable choice.

Besides two seasons of Andor, you’ll also have access to The Acolyte, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, and Obi-Wan series. Plus, all Star Wars movies and additional spinoffs are included as well.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there’s anything else I can assist with.

Regarding Andor Season 2, it appears that the wait (and cost) is justified. The second season unfolds as the brink of war approaches and Cassian becomes a significant figure in the Rebel Alliance. Prepare for everyone to be challenged as the risks escalate, and the betrayals, sacrifices, and divergent objectives become increasingly deep.

In case you didn’t know, the series serves as a prelude to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, taking us five years back in time.
