You can now play Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on web browser

Players can now explore Hyrule in a fan-created version of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, directly within their web browser.

A fan-made version of the classic GameCube game Zelda: Wind Waker, playable in a web browser, is gaining popularity online. People are loving its ability to recreate the original game’s relaxing atmosphere, including sailing the seas and listening to the memorable music.

I recently discovered this awesome fan project where you actually get to steer Link’s boat! You sail around different islands looking for hidden treasure, and it’s seriously addictive trying to beat your own high score. It’s a really fun little game mode they’ve created.

Wind Waker comes to PC & mobile (sort of)

The game’s core experience, ‘Explore the Ocean,’ allows players to navigate the seas using touch controls or arrow keys. Although you stay on your boat and can’t land on islands, you’ll be able to sail by famous places like Outset Island and the Forsaken Fortress.

Players can jump over challenges, find secret Triforce fragments, and customize Link’s look with the in-game camera.

Rupee’s Game is a fast-paced, arcade-style mode where you earn points by collecting Rupees while dodging barrels. Getting hit three times will return you to the main menu.

Even though you can’t play the entire game, quickly enjoying a sailing session during work or achieving high scores on your breaks is just as enjoyable as you’d expect.

This year has seen several web browser games become popular online. For example, one person recreated the classic Super Monkey Ball, while another cleverly transformed Wikipedia into a game where you collect virtual cards, similar to popular ‘gacha’ games.
