This summer, Sumo Digital will be retiring the popular free-to-play racing royale game called Stampede: Racing Royale, which was launched into early access in the year 2023 and accommodates up to 60 players.
Our studio has announced that they’ll be ending live support for our free-to-play kart racing game on Steam and Xbox later this year. The servers for the game and additional support will likely stop functioning around three months from now, although a specific end date hasn’t been set yet.
Users can continue to enjoy all aspects of the game, such as its live service and regularly changing events, right up until the point when the servers are shut down.
In the coming days, we’ll be releasing the rest of the game content as part of the Season 1 update. This update will bring four fresh racing tracks: Twin Thruway, Neon Circuit, Wentworth Park, and Stratos Raceway, along with them. Additionally, players can look forward to driving eight new karts on the track, which include the Sabre Slipstream and the Scrapyard Screamer.
Xbox gamers can now gain Achievements as they play their games, and they’ll receive a unique, cosmetic headgear once they’ve unlocked them all. On the other hand, the PC edition is being enhanced for better graphics and performance, particularly on the Steam Deck system.
Not just Stampede: Racing Royale, another live-service game is also winding down – Spectre Divide, developed by Mountaintop Studios. This free-to-play shooter game is scheduled to close its doors within the next month, having been launched only recently in September.
