Sega has pushed back the release date for the Steam versions of Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 to December 11th. These updates, which are free for existing owners, were originally scheduled for December 8th.
So, they haven’t said why the update is taking so long, but it’s going to finally add the proper licensed music to Yakuza Kiwami, which is awesome! Plus, both Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are getting more subtitle languages. Honestly, I’m still a little unclear if this is just a big update or if they’re secretly working on new versions of the games, but either way, I’m excited!

You can now play Yakuza Kiwami on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, and PC. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, Xbox One, and PC as well. Both games will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 8th. If you’re playing on Steam, updated versions of Kiwami and Kiwami 2 will be available on December 11th.
