xQc slams YouTube streaming and claims they will never do anything about it

According to popular streaming star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, YouTube’s live streams appear inferior to those on other platforms as an increasing number of broadcasters adopt multi-streaming options.

Though Twitch continues to lead in the realm of live streaming, numerous other platforms aspire to disrupt this domain. For instance, Facebook Gaming, Mixer, and Dlive have all tried their luck but ultimately fell short. However, YouTube is still considered a feasible alternative by some.

On occasion, the platform controlled by Google has provided substantial exclusive deals to streamers, aiming to compete with Twitch. Although this practice seems to have decreased lately, a significant number of creators still prefer using it as their primary platform.

Furthermore, some streamers incorporate YouTube into their multi-platform streaming setup. Recently, Asmongold has shown interest in moving beyond Twitch exclusivity, hinting at a possible shift towards streaming on X (formerly Twitter), while encouraging the platform to implement certain adjustments that meet his requirements.

xQc blasts YouTube streams

Previously, a member of the band OTK has expressed opposition towards streaming on YouTube, this being due to certain platform regulations that he finds unfavorable. Contrastingly, streamer xQc supports his decision to avoid YouTube streaming, although it’s not because of the platform’s rules specifically.

On occasion, certain businesses may choose not to enhance specific aspects of their services if those areas aren’t their primary focus. For instance, YouTube might improve YouTube Live, but the streaming experience leaves much to be desired. He expressed this sentiment when discussing Asmon’s desire for multi-streaming, stating that the user interface could use significant improvement.

I persistently inquired about the reasons for its poor state, the lack of progress in enhancing it, and found out that they have no intention of making improvements. This platform is a video service provider moving towards live services. They prefer to keep the live service as a similar extension rather than allowing it to be significantly distinct.

Many livestreamers have previously advocated for YouTube to implement modifications, proposing that they prioritize chat functionality similar to Twitch, offering an improved user experience.

However, as xQc suggests, there may be more changes for them to make moving forward.
