xQc explains why IShowSpeed won’t leave YouTube despite Twitch return

It seems that streaming sensation Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel is uncertain if IShowSpeed plans to depart from YouTube, even though the streamer has returned to Twitch.

In late 2021, IShowSpeed was temporarily banned from Twitch after making sexist remarks during a live stream with Adin Ross. He subsequently shifted to YouTube and continued his streaming career there. Despite his Twitch channel being reinstated in October 2023, IShowSpeed has chosen to remain on the YouTube platform owned by Google.

So far, numerous fans and fellow streamers have asked him to return to Twitch, but he had held off on this request until now.

Speed has revealed his plans to resume streaming on Twitch as part of a multiple-platform strategy. However, xQc expresses skepticism about whether this change is permanent for him.

xQc believes IShowSpeed won’t ever leave YouTube

The Canadian commented frankly, ‘I don’t think he’ll be able to leave YouTube,'” after observing Speed’s declaration regarding multi-streaming.

He has established a unique identity and created his own visibility mechanism on YouTube. Chat, Speed significantly altered YouTube’s visibility system by effectively flipping it upside down. In other words, YouTube’s discovery for streams was previously ineffective, but now, given the massive size of his stream, his content is indeed promoted to the top since it stands alone as the only notable one.

He creates his own visibility, something unique not found elsewhere. In essence, he has disrupted the usual system.

xQc offers his perspective as iShowSpeed decides to stream across multiple platforms, including Twitch: “It seems he’s staying put on YouTube for now, as he’s deeply rooted there and even has his own platform for new content.

Managing broadcasts across various platforms with distinct regulations can prove challenging, but if Speed is committed to making it happen, it’s bound to be a triumph.
