xQc voiced approval for Twitch’s long-awaited decision to reinstate Adin Ross after a two-year ban, in response to Hasan Piker’s comments questioning the lifting of the ban.
Adin’s Twitch account was permanently banned on February 25, 2023, soon after he revealed his switch to Kick, where he continues as a co-owner and streamer. After multiple attempts to reverse the ban, he stated during Agent’s live stream that the ban would be lifted on March 29, which ultimately happened.
Despite his comeback, it has ignited debate within the online streaming sphere, with opinions sharply divided. Notably, commentator Hasan Piker has been vocal in his criticism of Twitch’s reinstatement, whereas xQc and others have taken a stance in support of his unsuspension.
Hasan criticizes Twitch unbanning Adin Ross
Initially, Hasan made a comment in Adin’s streaming return, saying “This doesn’t seem sustainable for long,” and subsequently started his own stream on Twitch where he discussed the matter.
Hasan simply expressed his desire to prevent other content creators from being harmed by such toxic actions. In simpler terms, he said he doesn’t want them to suffer because of this behavior.
He’s made almost every poor choice imaginable, and now he’s gone so far as to invite Andrew Tate onto his platform on Kick, even paying for the privilege. In short, he’s been involved in a staggering amount of questionable behavior.
As a gamer, I find myself clinging to hope that this new policy has somehow restricted his speech. Perhaps there’s a hidden upside here – a silver lining, if you will. Frankly, it’s hard for me to understand why a company that seemed committed to regulating content would take such an unexpected step. It feels like I’m reaching for straws to find a positive in this situation.

A lively responder countered, “Indeed, there’s a significant distinction between having no control over his reinstatement and expressing doubt. Who knows? Perhaps he has changed for the better; I wish you success in your endeavors.
He replied, “I believe they’re individuals trying to avoid a constant barrage of harassment and threats. Stuff like doxing, swatting, and other such unpleasantness – let’s call it as it is, Adin Ross has been subjected to this type of treatment for quite some time.
He enthusiastically and passionately advocated for it, absolutely adoring it, and fully backed it. Later, he was acknowledged for his efforts, yet he never expressed any doubts or second thoughts about its validity.
xQc responds to Hasan over Adin Ross Twitch return comments
During his Twitch broadcast, xQc caught a replay of Hasan’s stream where the topic was being debated. He then chimed in with his thoughts on the matter.
Individuals frequently face bans due to shocking behaviors, repeatedly, only to never receive a permanent ban. However, one exception is Adin, who was permanently banned and then unbanned again. For two years, there have been endless discussions about potential outcomes such as ‘Might this happen? Might that occur? This could happen, this might happen, this will happen, this could happen,’ and so on.
He went on saying, “This is crazy! Mate, the thick smoke, the smog that everyone seems to be grilling in, really gets my goat.
The streamer continued by saying, “If you’re someone who criticizes those who excel more than you, it suggests underlying jealousy. You’re jealous because you fear your own inability to keep pace with them and grow as a person.
Feeling envious when others excel can leave you feeling disheartened and disappointed. This situation gnaws at your self-esteem, making you question your abilities, as it seems like something you’re unable to achieve yourself.
As Adin Ross’s permanent ban was about to be lifted on March 29, it came to light that he had been collaborating with Twitch in the preceding weeks to overturn the ban.
After the streaming platform declared significant updates to their ban policy in February, it now enables extended suspensions such as Adin’s to be contested. Streamers are now able to petition for reinstatement six months following their original ban.
