Streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel asserted that Twitch is willing to collaborate with prominent broadcasters regarding bans, sometimes arranging suspension days that are convenient for these high-profile streamers.

Over time, Twitch broadcasters and their audience have voiced concerns about the banning procedure. Some streamers might be unexpectedly banned due to unawareness of a specific rule, whereas others seem to evade punishment despite seemingly violating the rules.

Twitch has recently updated its policies regarding suspensions, offering clearer explanations as to why a streamer is suspended at various instances. Even so, it’s still quite significant when prominent Twitch streamers face bans.

As stated by xQc, Twitch has occasionally collaborated with streamers to determine the appropriate time for a suspension, taking their broadcasting schedule into account.

The Twitch and Kick streamer disclosed that during his one-week ban on Twitch, he was informed in advance when the ban would take place. This rule applies not only to him but also to other streamers, who can complete a streaming session and then be banned immediately upon logging off.

In his case, the Canadian mentioned that he found himself staying up late into the night after receiving an advance warning about the impending ban.

Additionally, he connected this incident to the temporary ban imposed on Hasan Piker (also known as HasanAbi), who received a 24-hour punishment for allegedly mishandling material related to terrorist propaganda.

The political analyst spoke out against the prohibition, considering it an “unfavorable measure for journalistic and press autonomy,” given that he’s also active on platforms like YouTube.
