Based on modder MasaGratoR’s statements, it appears that there’s a secret command in the Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition which activates a 60fps mode. However, once activated, this mode seems to bring about unspecified problems. Regarding its performance on the Switch, when played in handheld mode, the game’s resolution ranges from 504p to 720p. When docked, the resolution varies between 760p and 1080p.
It’s uncertain why there’s a secret level in the game, but some believe it might appear when played on the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. It’s possible that an update could be released for the game to utilize the enhanced features of the new console. However, since we don’t yet know the full scope of the Nintendo Switch 2’s backward compatibility, it remains unclear if this is truly the case.
