Xbox is experimenting with a novel aspect known as Game Hubs, which pops up when you attempt to start a game. This extra screen showcases details like accomplishments, time spent playing, and a “Play Now” option, rather than instantly launching the game.

According to VGC’s latest report, this feature is undergoing testing by some members of the Xbox Insiders program at the moment. When you pick a game tile from your library or recent games list, instead of launching the game as normal, it displays an extra screen featuring stats such as Gamerscore related to the selected game title.

The Game Center provides details on additional downloadable content, screenshots from the game itself, updates about in-game activities, and more, all tailored specifically for your chosen game. The default setting on the Game Center screen is to have the “Play” button highlighted, so a quick press of the A button twice will start the game as normal.

The Xbox feature, as described officially, serves to emphasize important details regarding the currently played game, such as active friends, statistics, and additional content.
