Five years of collecting Microsoft Rewards points
On Reddit, user JTizzle14 boasted about his accomplishment with the playful remark, “Thanks, Microsoft Rewards!” following his successful acquisition of a new PS5. The background story is that since 2019, he had been accumulating points through Microsoft’s rewards program, intending to eventually buy a PlayStation console with them.
After five long years of hard work, JTizzle14 amassed an impressive total of 390,000 points. Regrettably, this sum fell short of the PS5’s price tag, which stood at approximately 580,000 points. To bridge this gap, JTizzle14 decided to sell his old PS4 Pro and took advantage of a terrific deal at Best Buy. There he managed to exchange his points for the purchase of the new console.
The situation is a bit ironic, considering that JTizzle14 used Microsoft’s loyalty program to buy a PS5. He also shared some insights about his Xbox One S, stating he has no plans to shut it down or sell it. In fact, he intends to use it more, especially since he plays Series X/S games through streaming on his smartphone with xCloud. I can’t help but wonder if we’ll eventually hear about a player who uses their PlayStation Stars points to snag a brand-new Xbox console. Who knows—maybe there’s a dedicated gamer out there working tirelessly to make that happen.

Generally, you can collect points by shopping at the Microsoft Store, playing designated games, or completing tasks within Game Pass. However, what really boosted his point total was linking his Microsoft account to Bing, which enabled him to earn points with every search he conducted on both his computer and mobile device. Incredibly, JTizzle14 amassed a staggering 100,000 points solely from Bing searches. His perseverance and dedication are certainly worthy of admiration.
