Xbox PC App Is Aggregating Your Game Library From Other Stores

The latest update in June for Xbox has arrived, and it presents an exciting new option for Insiders using the Xbox PC application: they can now consolidate their entire game collection into a single, unified library via the Xbox app.

The Xbox PC app now has a new capability, which allows it to access other game platforms and launchers where users have games stored, enabling them to start playing these games without having to exit the Xbox app. In essence, this feature is designed to keep players within the Xbox app environment when they wish to play PC games. Furthermore, the Xbox Wire post clearly indicates that the consolidated gaming library will be visible on ROG Xbox Ally gaming devices set to launch later in 2023.

Currently, Microsoft includes aggregation support for the Xbox PC application, Game Pass, and Battle.net gaming libraries. They plan to gradually add support for more PC storefronts in the future, suggesting that platforms such as Steam and Epic Games Store may be integrated into the Xbox PC app at some point.

The June update introduces additional features for Xbox consoles, as well as its PC and mobile applications. On personal computers, users can now browse the Xbox Game Pass library organized by publisher. On mobile devices, the Copilot for Gaming AI feature has moved into beta testing. For console users, Microsoft has implemented options to hide system apps, pin preferred apps, and adjust the number of tiles visible on the home screen. Additionally, there’s enhanced game-save compatibility when using Xbox Cloud Gaming.
