Xbox Is Getting An Exciting New Feature Soon, It Seems

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the future of gaming is looking brighter than ever! The news about Microsoft’s potential expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming is nothing short of revolutionary. Being able to stream games that aren’t part of Game Pass? That’s a game-changer if I’ve ever heard one!

It seems that Microsoft might be planning to introduce a fresh Xbox function, enabling users to stream games not yet offered on Game Pass. This information was recently shared by reporter Tom Warren along with screenshots of the Xbox Cloud Gaming pages for High on Life and Dying Light 2, both marked as playable through streaming upon purchase. It’s worth noting that a Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be required to stream games using this new feature.

It’s possible that Microsoft might initiate Project Lapland, a rumored project allowing you to stream games you already own, as early as November 2024, according to previous reports. If these reports are accurate, we could see this become a reality soon. The testing phase is said to start with Xbox Insiders (you can sign up for free here), and will eventually be made available to all users. Initially, only games in the Game Pass library were compatible with streaming, but it seems that this is set to broaden to include more games shortly.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that starting this very month, we’re making it possible to purchase Xbox games directly from the Xbox app on your Android devices! Come November, you’ll be able to buy an Xbox game on your Android device and instantly stream it – no more waiting for physical copies or downloads. This is a game-changer for mobile gaming, isn’t it?

This week, it’s been noticed that certain Xbox games not included in Xbox Game Pass are appearing on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Keep an eye out for Project Lapland soon! #ProjectLaplandSoon

Microsoft’s fresh perspective on Xbox extends far beyond just the console. They’ve introduced a new advertising initiative titled “Xbox: This Is It,” emphasizing that the smartphone in your pocket, your personal computer, and even your television can be considered an Xbox, thanks to Game Pass and cloud technology.

Beyond Project Lapland, Microsoft is also developing a new-age Xbox console, which might function together with an exclusive Xbox portable device.

Additionally regarding Xbox updates, Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2024 has been released and can be accessed via Game Pass. To learn about other games joining Game Pass in the initial half of November, take a look here.
