WWE 2K25 Has Arrived On The Switch 2, But Is Missing A Key Component

The long-awaited WWE 2K25 has been released on Nintendo Switch 2, but it lacks a crucial aspect for dedicated wrestling enthusiasts: the ability to create and download custom superstars. A notable feature that fans often find appealing, this functionality is conspicuously absent in the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, as players have discovered, due to the absence of an image-uploader feature.

Although it can be quite disappointing, there’s a valid explanation: WWE 2K25 doesn’t support cross-platform community creations. Even though the latest DLC pack includes iconic figures like New Jack, recently acquired Penta, and Bull Nakano from Japanese women’s wrestling, players on Switch 2 won’t be able to import logos or textures of wrestlers not included in the game. As a result, Switch 2 users will only have access to the default images provided within the game.

While it may not be a deciding factor for everyone, it seems as though the game falls short if one seeks an immersive, comprehensive experience.

In this latest edition of the series, we’re back on Nintendo systems after an absence of eight years; it’s been since WWE 2K18 that we last saw a release. While some might recall the previous port, it’s often criticized as one of the worst in the entire franchise.

2K imposes certain limitations on the type of content users can post, and their moderation team is known for swiftly removing inappropriate content, whether it’s images or users. Occasionally, some content might briefly evade detection due to the massive number of submissions.

In our assessment, WWE 2K25 stood out as one of the most robust offerings in the series. This is due to its expansive creation toolkit, fresh match types, and a comprehensive roster boasting over 300 current champions and legendary figures, among whom are NBA greats as well.
