Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Has Died – Report

Legendary professional wrestler Terry Bollea, more commonly known by his iconic ring name Hulk Hogan, passed away at the age of 71 following a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. The tragic event occurred on Thursday morning, as reported by TMZ.

Hogan first gained recognition when he made his WWF debut in 1979. His charm, imposing stature, distinctive handlebar mustache, and unforgettable “Hulkamania” character played a significant role in transforming the company into a worldwide juggernaut. During WrestleMania III, Hogan’s body-slam of Andre the Giant remains one of the most iconic moments in professional wrestling lore.

His name became closely associated with the company, appearing in numerous World Wrestling Federation (WWF) games like WWF Wrestlemania, WWF Wrestlemania Challenge, King of the Ring on Nintendo and Super Nintendo systems. Later, when he switched to rival WCW in the mid-90s, his presence was similarly prominent in their video games for N64 and PlayStation, with WCW/NWO Revenge being one of the most notable titles.

Outside the wrestling ring, Hogan expanded into mainstream entertainment, featuring in films like Rocky III and TV shows such as Hogan Knows Best. In April 2025, he established the Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion together with Eric Bischoff, planning to debut its first event in Cleveland later this summer.

In his professional life, Hogan faced significant challenges: Despite being a prominent figure and one of the company’s most esteemed stars, similar to a figure carved on Mount Rushmore, the WWE chose to erase any trace of him for several years. This was due to a scandal that emerged in 2015 involving racist comments, followed by accusations of infidelity.

He leaves behind his spouse, Sky, along with children from his prior marriage with his former wife. From his humble beginnings in the WWE to his influential role in cultivating future wrestling stars, his impact on the industry is beyond comparison.
