Wonder Man unveils episode titles, hints at a new Marvel hero
Marvel Studios has revealed the episode titles for its new Disney+ series, Wonder Man, set to premiere on January 27, 2026, at 6 PM Pacific Time. The studio announced the titles on their X account (@MarvelStudios). All eight episodes will be available to stream at once.
- Episode 1: Matinee
- Episode 2: Self-Tape
- Episode 3: Pacoima
- Episode 4: Doorman
- Episode 5: Found Footage
- Episode 6: Callback
- Episode 7: Kathy Friedman
- Episode 8: Yucca Valley
In Episode 4, titled “Doorman,” we meet a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Byron Bowers plays DeMarr Davis, who goes by the name Doorman. He’s a mutant with the ability to become invisible and let people pass through walls and other solid things.
Doorman first appeared in a comic book in July 1989, created by John Byrne. He became part of the Great Lakes Avengers after answering a newspaper ad looking for superheroes. He’s known for his black-and-white costume and often teams up with characters like Squirrel Girl, Mockingbird, and Deadpool.
According to Marvel sources, the upcoming episode will heavily feature Doorman and reveal the story behind the “Doorman Clause.” This clause is a rule within the Marvel Cinematic Universe that prevents people with superpowers from being employed on movie sets.
The show centers on Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is trying to become an actor while secretly possessing special abilities. The government agency Damage Control, headed by Agent P. Cleary (Arian Moayed), sees him as a possible danger, particularly as public concern grows about the influence of superheroes in the media and society.
