Born as Gerald Dwight Hauser on December 12, 1947, in Hollywood, to parents Geraldine and Dwight Hauser, he later gained recognition for his roles across film and television. His acting career started with an unnamed role in the 1967 war drama “First to Fight.” Throughout his career, he appeared on popular shows such as “Magnum, P.I., The Fall Guy, Murder, She Wrote, Perry Mason, Roseanne, Beverly Hills 90210, Kingpin, Bones,” and “Criminal Minds.”

Hauser has portrayed the character Greg Foster repeatedly across fifteen different episodes of the long-running soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” Previously, James Houghton and Brian Kern had played this role. Hauser made his debut on the show in 1977 and reprised it for three more episodes in 2010.
As a cinephile, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the versatile talent of actor William Forsythe, best remembered for his gripping performances as Ramrod alongside Gary Swanson in “Vice Squad” (1982), and the tobacco lawyer sharing screen time with Al Pacino and Russell Crowe in “The Insider” (1999). Over the decades, he has graced both big and small screens, leaving indelible impressions in productions like “Rubber” and “Tough Guys Don’t Dance,” for which his outstanding supporting role earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award. More recently, I caught him in a captivating episode of the hit series “Criminal Minds” (2010).
Cali Hauser shared a statement, saying we spent our childhood together and everyday life was a game for us. We played music, wrote songs, and prepared numerous albums, books, and a new movie with original soundtrack similar to our latest hit ‘Eve N’ God; This Female Is Not Yet Rated.’ He considered me his future and even though I am a feminist, I found my ideal partner in him. I never imagined I would marry or have a life partner until I met Wings. Although it’s tougher now, I intend to carry on his wishes by completing the work we planned for the upcoming years and fulfilling all our projects.
During the Communist era, Cole Hauser’s father, Dwight Hauser (who was a writer), faced blacklisting. Despite this setback, he contributed to “The Magical World of Disney.” Cole Hauser gained fame for his role as Rip Wheeler on “Yellowstone,” where he portrayed the ranch’s fixer and son-in-law to Kevin Costner’s John Dutton. Besides Cole, Dwight is also survived by his spouse, Cali.
