Windblown - Console (PS5, Xbox, Switch) Release

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen games come and go, but few have left as lasting an impression as Dead Cells did. Motion Twin’s upcoming title, Windblown, has piqued my interest since its announcement. With its unique blend of action, RPG, and roguelike elements, it promises to deliver a captivating adventure that I can’t wait to embark on.

Motion Twin, creators of Dead Cells, are soon releasing a new game titled Windblown. This action-packed title combines elements of RPG and roguelike genres, inviting you to traverse a mystical realm centered around a colossal, lethal whirlpool. Your objective is to shield your home from perilous creatures. The game launches in early access on PC tomorrow (23rd October). As for consoles like PS5, PS4, Xbox, and Switch, details regarding their release are yet to be announced.

Windblown – Console (PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch) Release Explained

At present, we have just one hint regarding possible console releases of the game. On the official Discord server, a member from Motion Twin mentioned that additional versions might become available if the game achieves sufficient success. However, I’d like to remind you that initially, “Windblown” will be exclusive to early access on PC via Steam. It seems likely that the developers will prioritize completing the game before considering porting it to other platforms. Therefore, I suggest being patient and keeping an eye out for future updates regarding potential releases.

It’s worth noting that following its initial release in 2018 across multiple platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch), Dead Cells by Motion Twin was supported for a considerable period afterwards. In 2019, development of the game was taken over by Evil Empire. Subsequently, it became available on PS5, Android, and iOS as well. Over a six-year span post-launch, the game received DLCs (including one that featured a crossover with the iconic Castlevania series) and updates introducing fresh content. Since 2019, Evil Empire has been in charge of further support for the game.
