As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from pixelated graphics to lifelike renderings that blur the line between reality and gaming. Black Myth: Wukong has truly taken visual storytelling to new heights, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed.
What could have been just prerendered material on trailers and early gameplays, ended up being reality. Black Myth: Wukong delivered amazing, breakthrough graphics in video games. However, not only the visuals are outstanding in the game, but it also offers compelling and satisfying gameplay and story. This does not come at a cost though. Such technical advancement can bring problems in the form of FPS drops, crashes, memory errors, controller issues on PC, CPU overheating, or audio problems. Despite all that, the reception of the title is wonderful, which Steam categorizes as “Overwhelmingly Positive”. Some people are not so enthusiastic about the title though. In the reviews there is a trend of negative ones that, right next to previously mentioned performance issues, point out, dreaded by many, Denuvo. Is there any chance that Game Science will remove it at some point?
Will Denuvo be removed from Black Myth Wukong?
Gamers can easily express displeasure, and one term that often sparks strong reactions is Denuvo. This anti-piracy software used in games like Black Myth: Wukong is generally despised by the gaming community. Could there be a possibility that Game Science might choose to exclude it from future projects?
Having spent years in the gaming industry, I’ve seen firsthand how Denuvo anti-piracy software has become a hot topic among gamers and developers alike. While it may seem counterintuitive to some, the truth is that Denuvo isn’t primarily used to prevent games from being pirated but rather to make it incredibly difficult for as long as possible, particularly during the initial release period.
Here comes Denuvo, a software known for its repeated success in slowing down piracy. This delay in cracking a game protects initial sales from being affected. However, over time, nearly all games using this anti-tamper technology are eventually breached, rendering it ineffective. Additionally, some players argue that the absence of Denuvo enhances their gaming experience when accessing unauthorized versions. Occasionally, this is a reason for creators to eliminate the software from their game entirely. Examples include Ghostwire: Tokyo, Resident Evil Village, and Nier Replicant, among others.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve noticed a common concern in our community: the controversy surrounding Denuvo. Many believe that Denuvo seems to negatively impact game performance, a claim supported by various tests. However, the creators of this software persistently deny these allegations.
In summary, while it’s possible that Black Myth: Wukong might eventually drop Denuvo (an antipiracy software), the developers currently have more urgent matters to attend to, such as improving the game’s performance and addressing issues with Family Sharing on Steam. Since this game lacks cooperative or multiplayer modes, it appears that Family Sharing will be the only way for players to share their progress with others.
