‘Wicked’ Gets the Funko Pop! Treatment in New Collection, Featuring Glinda and Elphaba Figurines and Loungefly Merch

As a long-time fan of musical theater and collector of Funko Pops!, I couldn’t help but be thrilled by this new “Wicked” collection! Growing up with the original Broadway cast recording and eagerly awaiting every performance on stage, it feels like a dream come true to have these beloved characters miniaturized into adorable figurines.

Glinda and Elphaba have been transformed into 4-inch Funko Pop figures as part of a fresh “Wicked” series, just before the anticipated premiere of the Universal movie in November.

Today’s merchandise reveal features character figurines from the musical, including Madame Morrible and Fiyero, along with a variety of Loungefly goods like emblematic notebooks, bags, and sweatshirts.

The “Wicked” Pop! collection showcases two depictions of Glinda, portrayed by Ariana Grande in the movie: one is casually dressed in a rosy nightgown, while another sports a shimmering tiara and long pink gown, just like in the film’s poster. On the other hand, Elphaba, with her green tones, is depicted wearing a conical witch hat and dark cloak, as played by Cynthia Erivo.

If you’re not into Funko Pop! figures, perhaps you would prefer Loungefly’s exclusive merchandise instead. They offer items such as crossbody bags, backpacks, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. In this two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Erivo and Grande portray Elphaba (also known as the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch), respectively. Their friendship, initially unlikely, is disrupted by external influences. The supporting cast includes Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, headmaster at Shiz University, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Bowen Yang as Pfannee.

The musical “Wicked”, based on a popular Broadway production, serves as a precursor to the classic tale “The Wizard of Oz”. It includes beloved songs such as “Defying Gravity” and “Popular”.
