It seems the battery life on this new console could last anywhere from 2 to 6.5 hours on a single charge – but don’t quote me on that! Nintendo has mentioned that these figures are more of an approximation and can change based on the games you play.
One thing they did confirm, though: if your Switch 2 is in sleep mode, it’ll take roughly three hours to fully recharge it. So keep that in mind as you plan your gaming sessions!
Comparatively, the battery life of Switch 2 is similar to that of the initial Switch, which was launched in March 2017. The original device offered battery life ranging from 2.5 to 6.5 hours per charge, while the updated version, released in 2019, extended this to approximately 4.5 to 9 hours. Similarly, the Switch OLED model provides battery life of around 4.5 to 9 hours on a single charge.
