It’s quite normal for popular figures like actors and musicians to gain a devoted fanbase, but sometimes the praise for one individual is so widespread that it feels like everyone is saying the same great things about them. For several years now, Pedro Pascal has fallen into this category, not only being a cherished part of numerous big franchises but also earning the nickname “the internet’s daddy.” However, his The Last of Us co-star, Bella Ramsey, has recently shared her dislike for

What Did Bella Ramsey Say About Not Liking Pedro Pascal Being Called ‘Daddy’?
In simpler terms, it’s important to note that the term “daddy” or “zaddy,” while widely used online today, is more suggestive in nature than what most people would associate with a typical father figure. Pedro Pascal, known for his role as the seductive Prince Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, has been dubbed the internet’s “daddy” for some time now. However, Bella Ramsey, who plays his daughter in The Last of Us, has shared that they prefer not to use
While conversing with Vanity Fair, Ramsey (notably known for their role in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ and currently filming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, and who shares a past connection with Pascal through ‘GOT’) expressed thoughts about the “fatherly” scenario, saying:
I had concerns about his well-being. I wished to shield him from the absurdity of being known as the “internet’s dad.” I expressed, “I don’t want people to label you like that or perceive you in such a manner. You’re far more than that.
Wow, truly, I find this comment quite endearing. To me, it suggests a deep bond between Ramsey and Pascal that transcends mere appearances or their public personas (we certainly know he’s an excellent Saturday Night Live host). While he’s been gracious about the “internet dad” title, as a seasoned actor like the star of Materialists, he’s worked diligently to reach this stage in his career. The “dad” talk could potentially diminish that hard-earned recognition.
It appears Pascal remains unphased by his celebrity status, given he’s been a cultural icon since starting on “The Mandalorian” and this recognition extended to “TLOU”. While involved in these series, he has also taken on various other projects to showcase diverse aspects of himself, suggesting that the “joke” Ramsey mentioned hasn’t affected him deeply.
If even being famously acknowledged as “the internet’s favorite daddy” by William Shatner on Father’s Day doesn’t diminish your skills, then no criticism can touch you.
