In my humble opinion, as a movie-goer turned impromptu critic, I find myself questioning the authenticity of the recent spat between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. On a recent installment of “The View,” the inimitable Whoopi Goldberg labeled it both “fake” and “strategic.

The “Hot Topics” discussion during Monday’s broadcast primarily focused on the back-and-forth between Trump and Musk, which began last week over Trump’s large government spending bill and intensified when Musk claimed that Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files. During their debate about who might prevail, conservative panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed her confidence in her former boss.

Griffin stated during the live broadcast (as reported by Entertainment Weekly), “I’m betting on Donald Trump since he threatened to target Elon’s Pentagon contracts after his response.” Goldberg retorted, “It’s fascinating how you all got caught up in that statement.

Griffin argued that it wasn’t fabricated, to which Goldberg responded by stating her belief that it was indeed fabricated. She emphasized this point by saying, “Yes, I do believe it. It seems too calculated and strategic.” After Griffin suggested that Goldberg was overestimating Trump, Goldberg stood firm in her conviction.

Goldberg remarked, “It seems like everyone’s suddenly angry over various matters? Frankly, I don’t agree. This appears to be another diversionary tactic designed to shift our focus – away from the topics we’re currently discussing, towards the agendas they wish for us.” Goldberg continued, “I’m not being swayed. I won’t fall for it because they’ve proven themselves untrustworthy.

She added, “I no longer trust what they tell me since they’ve proven themselves unreliable.

Last week, the rift between Trump and Musk was a hot topic, particularly on late-night TV shows. Jimmy Kimmel humorously commented on their disagreement by stating: “One MAGA supporter is accusing another MAGA supporter of hiding the Epstein documents because he himself might be involved in them. I’m eager to see how this unfolds. My guess: by the end, one of them will likely end up behind bars with Diddy.
