How did Famous die in Raising Kanan?

Subsequently, he went missing for approximately three months until his body was discovered by a child and a store owner.

In search of her lost child, the well-known woman subsequently appeared in town, questioning everyone she believed could provide information. Coincidentally, it was during this period that his lifeless body was discovered in an alleyway.

There are four obvious suspects for who killed him

To put it in my own words as a dedicated fan, it seems plausible that Famous might have met an untimely end not directly at Raq’s hand, but perhaps instigated by someone acting on her behalf. This suggests that the individual who actually pulled the trigger could be one of her brothers or one of her associates among the many who work under her.

Kanan

Our hunch, based on recent episodes from Season 4, points towards the character Kanan. It appears that he’s only recently learned about Famous’ demise, but it’s not implausible to consider this a distraction or misdirection. If Kanan is indeed aiming for a higher position in the criminal hierarchy, it seems likely that some questionable actions will be necessary along the way.

Considering the recurring motifs in Season 4’s episodes, it seems like the finale is building towards a potential revelation that Kanan was the perpetrator of the crime all along.
