The latest update for Hades 2, called Warsong, has been released, and it features a challenging boss battle against the fearsome Typhon. You might recall that we faced Prometheus in the previous Olympic update; however, Typhon is a whole different level of tough! But who is this monster, and why are players so annoyed while trying to defeat him?

Typhon in Greek mythology

Typhon was among the most terrifying beasts in Greek mythology, frequently depicted as the most lethal being ever brought forth. He was an ancient titan linked with disorder and devastation, posing a significant danger not only to the mortal world but also directly menacing the gods residing on Mount Olympus.

He is known as the parent of numerous legendary creatures, such as Cerberus, the Hydra, the Chimera, and the Sphinx, along with his partner Echidna. This is why he is called “The Progenitor of All Monstrous Beings.

In the game’s depiction of Typhon, the design is logical given his character traits. He’s depicted as colossal with numerous serpentine heads, one acting as a tongue and another on his forehead, which aligns with his description. Additionally, he’s said to unleash a roar powerful enough to shake the heavens, and this is reflected in the game through one of his attack moves.

Typhon fight in Hades 2 can be challenging

In the game Hades 2, while it’s not the most challenging battle for many players, characters like Chronos or Prometheus were perceived as tougher. However, what causes frustration for some is the absence of a visible Health Point (HP) bar, which makes it hard to gauge our progress towards victory. Conversely, some gamers appreciate this feature as it allows them to concentrate solely on the fight without having to frequently check the boss’s health status.

As a dedicated admirer, I must say, the battle isn’t drawn-out or challenging per se, but it’s undeniably intense. The strategy here is to keep my wits about me and evade his constant onslaught, even though it can be tough with all the vivid sights and dazzling effects overwhelming my senses. All I need to do is hang in there until Zeus lends a hand, then unleash as much damage as I can. After that, buckle up for another barrage of attacks before getting my last opportunity to defeat him for good.

Keep in mind that the game “Hades 2” is currently in its early stages, which means there might be alterations in the boss battles as the game progresses with future updates.
