Finding the Dawnshore Cartographer in Avowed

In the game Avowed, you’ll have the opportunity to embark on the “Mapping the Living Lands” quest quite early. Leaving Claviger’s Landing and venturing northward, you’ll encounter Sanza close to Ivona’s Threshold Party Camp. He informs you that a cartographer named Geirmund, tasked with mapping Dawnshore, has vanished in the eastern part of the region, near a cave. Unlike typical quest markers, you won’t be guided directly, but instead, you must rely on provided clues to locate him. This might seem confusing initially, so use this guide as a reference.

To advance with the “Mapping the Living Lands” quest in Avowed, you should head towards the eastern part of Paradis. On the map screen, Usher’s Hand is directly east from the text of Paradis. In the quest area, Geirmund, the Dawnshore Cartographer, can be found near the God’s Gate fast travel point, specifically at the center. Unfortunately, a large stone pillar has fallen and killed him on the ground. The quest item, “Geirmund’s Map,” is next to his body and needs to be collected to continue with the quest.

Grab the map and make your way back to Sanza, located in the city of Paradis. However, remember that you must first accomplish the “Message from Afar” mission to access this city. Once within the city, look for Sanza’s merchant store on the northern side and deliver the quest there to finish the “Dawnshore” section of the mission in Avowed.
