In your adventure, both Ise Sadatame and the messenger play significant roles in a larger storyline involving the pursuit of The Fool, one of the villains belonging to the Shinbakufu. Your upcoming encounters with Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are situated on the outskirts of Kyoto, but they’re located in opposite directions from each other. You can find their exact locations on the map provided below.

Ise Sadatame’s location

Initially, our focus should be on locating Ise Sadatame. He can be found in a place known as Ogura Pond, which is situated southeast of Kyoto. Once you’ve marked the fast travel point for Ogura Pond, make your way north towards Byodoin Temple and engage in a conversation with Sadatame.

The messenger’s location

Afterward, Sadatame will guide you to another character you should converse with. It’s now your task to locate the messenger in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The only hint you have is that he can be found on a bridge located southeast of Arashiyama.

Coincidentally, a river flows from Kyoto to Arashiyama, and over this river lies a bridge. It is here that you can locate the messenger.

Chance meetings and the Twisted Tree
