As a seasoned Guardian who’s traversed through the cosmos for eons, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia every time I encounter Xur, the Agent of the Nine. His mysterious demeanor and intriguing wares have been a constant in my journey, a beacon of exotic loot amidst the endless battles against the Darkness.

As a long-time Destiny 2 player with countless hours spent traversing the cosmos and collecting exotic gear, I can’t help but get excited when Xur, the enigmatic vendor known for selling rare items, arrives in the Tower. This week marks the start of Solstice, making it an even more opportune moment to visit this mysterious merchant and check out his fresh selection of new Exotic and Legendary-class gear.

As a long-time Destiny 2 player, I am always thrilled when Xur rolls into town and offers exotic weapon catalysts. This week, he’s got some great options for Hard Light and The Wardcliff Coil, two weapons that have been staples in my arsenal for quite some time. Additionally, he’s offering some intriguing exotics for armor as well. For Hunters, Raiju’s Harness is a must-have if you’re looking to boost your mobility and agility. Titans can grab Mk. 44 Stand Asides, which are perfect for close-quarters combat and add a nice touch of style to any Guardian. And Warlocks can buy Getaway Artist, which is ideal for those who enjoy sneaking around the battlefield and laying traps for unsuspecting enemies. All in all, it’s shaping up to be an excellent week for exotic gear, and I can’t wait to see what else Xur has in store!

Xur Location

Start at the Tower and make a turn to the right after encountering Banshee-44. Proceed down the stairs, follow the passage, and when you reach the Bazaar, take the adjacent alleyway to your right. You’ll come across Xur in his designated nook there, waiting to sell you new items if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. However, the stats on this particular piece are suboptimal, providing low resilience and recovery, with average discipline and strength at best. Keep in mind that it’s not the worst we’ve seen, but it also doesn’t compare to the best. Consider acquiring it only if it surpasses your current equipment.

Getaway Artist (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)

As a dedicated fan, I’ve found myself drawn to the Getaway Artist – a favorite among Warlocks. With a well-crafted Prism setup, you can summon not just an Arc Soul sentry, but also a Stasis Turret! Pair it with an Ergo Sum sword featuring the Riskrunner perk, and watch as enemies crumble beneath your might. While the intellect stat might be slightly disappointing in this Exotic, overall, it’s a balanced roll that’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking to upgrade your current Getaway Artist gauntlets.

In the new arrangement of his business within “The Final Shape”, Xur now offers two rotating choices of Exotic weapon catalysts every week. These options will consist mainly of older catalysts that were previously obtained via random drops before the release of “The Witch Queen” expansion, excluding those tied to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, or dungeon Exotics.

Xur offers three extra-special weapons from the Exotic collection, along with Hawkmoon. He continues to stock Legendary armor and weapons as well, plus engrams that could give any item within those pools at random. Just like other vendors, Xur now has a reputation system too, so the more you spend, the more rewards you’ll receive, including an Exotic Cipher after each level-up.

In addition, Xur’s loyalty rewards start after you accumulate 47 Strange Coins. This rewards you with a Strange Favor boost which lasts for 11 days and can be accumulated up to three times, once every week. This allows you an opportunity to gain extra Strange Coins from activities that dispense this currency. Xur appears in Destiny 2 every weekend, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
