As a seasoned Guardian who’s traversed the vast expanse of Destiny’s cosmos, I must say, Xur has truly outdone himself this week! The legendary weapons he’s offering are nothing short of astounding. The Wishbringer, with its smooth barrel and open-eyed stare, could well be a guardian’s best friend in tight spots.
Xur has landed in Destiny 2, bringing with him a fresh selection of Exotic weapons and armor. There are also only a few more days to get your Solstice armor pieces, and next week will see the launch of Act 3 in Episode: Echoes, so now might be a good time to spend some Strange Coins. Alternatively, you might want to spend them on the Exotic class items Xur has in stock this week. Here’s where Xur is this week, and what he has for sale.
As a long-time Destiny 2 player with countless hours spent grinding through the game, I’m always excited to see what Xur has in store each week. This time around, he’s offering some great items that I think every player should consider. For Exotic weapon catalysts, he’s got the Trinity Ghoul and Fighting Lion, both of which can greatly enhance their respective abilities. If you’re a Hunter, don’t miss out on the Wormhusk Crown, a fantastic piece of armor that provides excellent mobility and recovery bonuses. Titans should snag the Doom Fang Pauldron for increased strength and resilience, while Warlocks can pick up the Claws of Ahamkara for added agility and intellect.
Xur Location
Start at the Tower and take a turn to the right after Banshee-44. Proceed down the stairs, follow the path, and when you reach the Bazaar, veer right into the adjacent alleyway. Xur will be there in his designated nook, prepared to offer his fresh merchandise if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. Our guide on how to obtain Strange Coins can help you understand the process of earning this currency through various rituals.

Exotic Armor
Essentialism / Solipsism / Stoicism (Exotic class item)
In Destiny 2, obtaining exotic class items has been rather difficult, with the exception of the guaranteed drop in the Duality mission, which necessitates the participation of two players. A recent update has further decreased the drop rate of these coveted exotics in The Pale Heart. However, luckily, you can acquire random versions of this exotic item, and there’s no limit to how many you can purchase.
As a long-time Destiny 2 player, I can tell you that if you want to get your hands on Xur’s exclusive items, there’s a catch. From my personal experience, you need to have completed the mission called Duality before Xur will even consider selling anything to you. Simply unlocking the mission isn’t enough; you must finish it first. So, if you’re serious about expanding your Guardian’s arsenal, make sure you’ve ticked that box on your Destiny 2 to-do list!
Wormhusk Crown (Exotic Hunter helmet)
In tense PvP situations, Wormhusk Crown performs admirably due to its evasive action providing a minor health and shield boost. When used strategically in PvE, it can be exceptionally powerful. However, the statistics on this particular roll are not particularly impressive, with strength being decent but intellect, recovery, discipline, and recovery being quite low. So unless you have an uncommon version of it that’s even worse statistically, it might be best to pass on this one.
- Mobility: 15
- Resilience: 9
- Recovery: 8
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 28
- Total: 62
Doom Fang Pauldron (Exotic Titan gauntlets)
As a Titan who thrives on honing my void abilities, I’ve found myself drawn to this groovy Exotic weapon. Dealing void damage to enemies can increase the potency of my void weapons, making it a lethal combination when paired with the Wavesplitter that Xur is currently peddling. It also boasts a few bonus perks for void melee and Super abilities, making it an ideal fit for me as a dedicated Titan void-specialist.
- Mobility: 12
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 15
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 24
- Strength: 7
- Total: 68
Claws of Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)
It’s debatable how useful an extra melee charge is, but the nice thing with Claws of Ahamkara is that you can spawn an Orb of Power when you land a final charged melee blow on an enemy. This should work quite nicely with a Strand or Prismatic subclass–Arcane Needle on its own has three charges–and the right build will allow you to become Radiant when picking up those orbs. While mobility is a little too high and intellect is quite low, the rest of the stats are nicely balanced, so this is worth grabbing.
- Mobility: 10
- Resilience: 12
- Recovery: 12
- Discipline: 14
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 11
- Total: 65
Exotic Weapon Catalysts
Trinity Ghoul (Exotic bow)
Forked Lightning: Lightning Rod now triggers from any Arc damage final blow.
Fighting Lion (Exotic grenade launcher)
Improved stats: boosts stability and reload speed.

In The Final Shape, Xur has revamped his business approach. Specifically, he’ll now offer two different Exotic weapon catalysts every week from his rotating inventory. These catalysts will include some that were previously found through random drops before The Witch Queen expansion. However, you won’t find any catalysts related to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, or dungeon Exotics from Xur.
Xur offers three additional Exotic weapons for purchase besides Hawkmoon among his selection of Legendary armor, weapons, and engrams that can randomly yield items from those pools. Similar to other vendors, Xur now has a reputation system where spending money increases your standing, granting reputation rewards including an Exotic Cipher after each rank reset.
Apart from that, once you accumulate 47 Strange Coins in Xur’s shop, his loyalty system activates, providing you with a Strange Favor boost. This boost lasts for 11 days and can be accumulated up to three times per week, allowing you to potentially earn extra Strange Coins from activities that dispense this currency. You can find Xur in Destiny 2 every weekend, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time or 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
