As a seasoned Guardian who’s journeyed through the Last City and beyond, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I see Xur’s new business model in The Final Shape. Back in my day, we didn’t have these fancy reputation tracks or loyalty programs; we just spent Strange Coins and hoped for the best!

Hey there fellow Guardians! This week, I find myself back in the Tower, as good ol’ Xur has dropped by with his mysterious stockpile. He’s got some Exotic weapons and armor pieces up for grabs, just waiting to be claimed by a brave traveler like me.

Xur, the enigmatic vendor of exotic goods, has graced us with some fantastic offers that I simply can’t resist sharing!

Xur Location

Start at the Tower and take a turn to the right after Banshee-44. Proceed down the stairs, follow the path, and when you reach the Bazaar, turn right into the nearby alleyway. You’ll discover Xur in his designated spot there, all set to offer you his fresh merchandise if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. The stats for this Exotic are somewhat peculiar; they offer high discipline and resilience, but mobility is excessively high while recovery is extremely low. Although it’s not the best in terms of balance, Sunbracers can still be effective if you’re constructing a Warlock build centered around grenades.

In the latest development at The Final Shape, Xur has revamped his business approach. Specifically, for his weekly rotating stock of Exotic weapon catalysts, he will now offer two choices instead of one. The assortment will include older catalysts that were previously found through random drops before The Witch Queen expansion. Notably, Xur will no longer be selling catalysts related to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, or dungeon Exotics.

1. Apart from Hawkmoon, Xur will offer three different Exotic weapons for purchase at random. Besides these, he continues to sell Legendary armor, weapons, and engrams that can reward any item randomly from their respective pools. Similar to other vendors, Xur now has his own reputation system. The more you transact with him, the more reputation rewards you’ll receive, including an Exotic Cipher after each rank reset.

Furthermore, after accumulating 47 Strange Coins through purchases, Xur’s loyalty system activates, awarding you a Strange Favor boost. This enhancement lasts for 11 consecutive days and can be applied up to three times per week, allowing you to potentially receive extra Strange Coins when taking part in activities that dispense this currency. In Destiny 2, Xur appears every weekend beginning with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
