When Does The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 4 Drop? Find Out the Exact Time!

In the fourth episode of The Last of Us Season 2, we can anticipate the introduction of Isaac and continue the journey with Ellie and Dina as they delve into Seattle. Therefore, don’t forget to mark your calendars for the release date on HBO and Max!

Approximately two weeks have passed since the harrowing television event of 2025, where Abby took the life of Joel in full view of Ellie on Episode 2.

Previous week, The Last of Us paused momentarily to grapple with the grief, as Ellie endeavored to persuade the residents of Jackson to dispatch a team to eliminate Abby. However, her efforts were unsuccessful, but fortuitously, a surprising ally stepped forward to smuggle Ellie and Dina out of town laden with supplies: Seth.

Near the end, Ellie and Dina came across the dead bodies of a band of Seraphites, evidently killed by the WLF. This was a strong indication that there would be further violence in Episode 4.

What will happen in Episode 4?

Based on the preview, it’s clear that Episode 4 of The Last of Us Season 2 is set to present a new character named Isaac, who holds the position of commander within the WLF.

The initial moments of the trailer depict Isaac wearing a FEDRA uniform, indicating that this scene might be set prior to his association with the Wolves. Here, Isaac encounters a fresh character portrayed by Alanna Ubach, who is also known for her roles in Euphoria and Ted.

In this initial season, the character will be presented, and through that introduction, we may gain insights into how he became the person he is, as explained by Wright to Collider.

There’s a possibility we may briefly return the character to a previous state in the game, but rest assured, no matter how we introduce him, things are likely to get complicated.

The remainder of the trailer offers several intriguing hints: Isaac seems to be tormenting a Seraphite, Ellie is depicted strumming a guitar (I’m guessing it’s ‘Take on Me’), and both Ellie and Dina are shown running from infected creatures in Seattle’s underground subway system, which is a nail-biting scene reminiscent of the game.

You could discover why Ellie placed coffee beans on Joel’s tombstone, as well as uncover the fate of Shimmer within the game.
