It appears that JoJo Siwa may be welcoming a new intriguing guest on her podcast. According to Kath Ebbs, ex-partner of Siwa, the breakup occurred at the afterparty for “Celebrity Big Brother UK,” following Siwa’s public announcement about her queer identity and the growing intimacy between Siwa and fellow “CBB UK” contestant and “Love Island” star Chris Hughes on camera. Fans have been questioning whether their relationship was merely platonic due to their affectionate moments caught on film during their time together on the show. In a TikTok video posted on April 26, Ebbs hinted that Siwa and Hughes might have developed feelings for someone else, stating, “I was told there are mixed feelings there. And they had realized in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend their future with.” Despite both parties insisting they were just friends during the show, Hughes clarified to E! News that their bond was playful and childlike, describing Siwa as a source of fun and someone he could enjoy spending time with.
In response to Hughes’ inquiry about her feelings, Siwa requested some time to provide a thorough response, saying she needed “48 hours.” However, throughout the show, it was evident that Hughes had significantly influenced her. During their final dinner on the show, Siwa expressed her feelings towards Hughes, stating, “Christopher, the affection I’ve developed for you in this place is unbelievable.” She went on to say that he was a unique gentleman, someone who was simple to adore and laugh with. She firmly believed that he was an essential piece of her life that she didn’t realize was missing.
In the house, Hughes and Siwa grew particularly close as their fellow contestant Mickey Rourke displayed unacceptable homophobia towards Siwa. Rourke made derogatory comments about Siwa, stating that he intended to vote her out promptly due to her being a lesbian. However, Rourke was the one who was ultimately expelled from the house for his behavior, leaving Hughes and Siwa to share a common adversary and strengthen their bond throughout the competition. In the end, both contestants made it to the final rounds of the show; Hughes placed sixth, while Siwa finished third.
