‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Sets Final Season Premiere Date

As a movie buff with a deep appreciation for unique and quirky comedies, I am thrilled to hear that the sixth and final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” is finally upon us! This show has been a standout in my weekly viewing rotation since its debut on FX in 2019. The combination of the absurdity of vampire life and the relatable human struggles of the characters keeps me coming back for more.

The sixth and final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” has set its premiere date at FX.

Starting October 21st, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the last season of the comedy series will premiere with the first three episodes. Subsequent episodes will then be released weekly. Hulu users can watch new episodes the very next day. International viewers will be able to stream it on Disney+ at a later time.

Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), who had briefly transformed into a full-fledged vampire, is now questioning his existence. He’s spent his life serving his Master, always striving to please him with the hope of eventual transformation. However, as the vampires ponder their own lives, they come to a startling realization: in the past 50 years, they’ve accomplished nothing significant. Not one goal achieved, not one dream pursued, and no new territories conquered beyond their own street and part of Ashley Street.

Together with Guillén, the ensemble cast includes Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal.

As a long-time fan of quirky and innovative comedies, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow enthusiasts! Just a few days ago, we learned that our beloved show has been nominated for an impressive eight Emmy Awards. Not only was it recognized in the category of best comedy series, but also for best actor in a comedy series, featuring the brilliant Michael Cera as Berry.

I’ve had the pleasure of watching “What We Do in the Shadows,” which is a TV show adapted from the 2014 mockumentary film of the same name. This series made its debut on FX in 2019 and has been a game-changer for the network, both critically and in terms of ratings. I’m thrilled to share that Jemaine Clement is behind this brilliant creation, serving as both the creator and executive producer. Taika Waititi also lends his talents as an executive producer, having collaborated with Clement on the original film. Moreover, Simms, Sam Johnson, Sarah Naftalis, Yana Gorskaya, Newacheck, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush join them in their executive producing roles. FX Productions proudly brings this production to life.
