With lots of new TV shows coming out in 2026, ‘Idol I’ stands out as a great choice if you’re a fan of K-dramas that aren’t afraid to take risks. It’s a romantic comedy, but it also features surprising and intense moments, including a murder mystery.
The show follows Maeng Se-na, a lawyer known for her tough tactics in court, who secretly loves K-pop. Her life gets complicated when she has to represent Do Ra-ik, a member of the popular group Gold Boys, in a legal case.
The story unfolds with plenty of unexpected developments, leading to two key mysteries: who committed the murder, and is Ra-ik developing feelings for Se-na?
Idol I Part 3 release date & time
Episode 5 of Idol will be available on Netflix on January 5, 2026, followed by Episode 6 on January 6. While the episodes premiere at 10 PM Korea Standard Time, viewers in the US can expect them to appear on Netflix around 10 AM Eastern Time / 7 AM Pacific Time.
Unlike Netflix shows made specifically for the platform, Netflix doesn’t own ‘Idol’ and is only licensed to stream it. Because of this, new episodes will become available according to the original Korean broadcast schedule, not all at once like most Netflix releases. This means viewers will see episodes released at different times each week.
