The new season of Euphoria kicked off with a dramatic first episode centered on Rue. It showed her smuggling drugs across the border for Laurie and experiencing what felt like a spiritual awakening.

The episode included tributes to members of the Euphoria cast and crew who passed away between seasons one and two, notably Angus Cloud, even though his character, Fez, remained in the show. What happens in Episode 5?

Okay, so in Episode 5, ‘Kitty Likes to Dance,’ things got intense. Rue actually starts working as an informant for the DEA, which is a huge twist! Jules is really struggling out in Hollywood, and honestly, Cassie’s storyline is just… a lot. She starts an OnlyFans and gets mixed up with drugs alongside some big influencer. It’s a wild ride, seriously.

The fifth episode starts right after the last, with Rue being taken into custody by the DEA. They quickly realize she isn’t telling the truth, and after threatening her with a very long prison sentence, they propose a deal: she can avoid jail time if she works with them as a confidential informant.

Rue hesitantly agreed, and the police swapped her actual drugs for harmless laxatives and sugar pills. They also put a tracking app on her phone to monitor her attempts to make a drug deal.

This story connects with another, focusing on a new dancer named Kitty who has multiple encounters with customers. Rue witnesses this, and it makes her question her own choices and path.

Nate, whose toe was reattached but still healing, and Cassie went their separate ways. Cassie sold her engagement ring to afford a new apartment and began working with Maddy to start a career creating online content.

This means attending a party hosted by Brandon Fontaine and getting a photo with him, something Cassie manages to do by taking cocaine with him in his bedroom.

Jules faced a difficult situation when Lexi asked her to create artwork for her television program. Unfortunately, the resulting image was quite shocking and offended many people.

While Laurie buries her dead parrot, and seeks revenge on Alamo by sending her boys to his club.

A group burglarized Alamo’s business and stole both cash and drugs. However, the getaway driver, Faye, was identified by her distinctive appearance, allowing Alamo to figure out who was responsible.
