What time is Alice in Borderland Season 3 on Netflix?

Get ready for more challenges! Season 3 of Alice in Borderland is almost here. Here’s when you can start watching on Netflix and a preview of what’s in store.

The past three years have felt like a long time, and the second season of *Alice in Borderland* left viewers with a major cliffhanger. After finally escaping the deadly games and returning to reality, Usagi and Arisu seemed poised for a happy ending – but the final shot revealed a Joker card, hinting that their troubles might not be over.

They might have dealt with the immediate problems, but no one considered the people who chose to remain in the Borderlands, and they have a surprising advantage.

Okay, so in Season 3 of *Alice in Borderland*, it’s pretty messed up. Arisu and Usagi actually managed to get their memories wiped and they’re living a normal, happy life as a married couple. But, wouldn’t you know it, they get pulled back into those deadly games again. It’s like they can’t catch a break!

Alice in Borderland Season 3 release date & time

The third season of Alice in Borderland is returning after a three-year break. It will be available on Netflix starting at 12am Pacific Time / 3am Eastern Time on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Good news! All the episodes of Season 3 will be released at the same time, so you can binge-watch without waiting each week. Here are the release times for different time zones:

  • 4am Brazil
  • 8am UK
  • 9am Central European Summer Time
  • 12:30pm India Standard Time
  • 5pm Australia
  • 7pm New Zealand

The show’s impressive quality meant there was a two-year wait between its first and second seasons. But why did it take even longer for Season 3? The reason is that the series is adapted from a manga by Haro Aso, and Season 2 covered all the existing material in the manga.

Creating Season 3 has taken longer than expected for director Shinsuke Sato and his writers, as they’ve had to deviate from the original plan. This was also complicated by the fact that the streaming service didn’t confirm a third season until a year after Season 2 ended.

Thankfully, the wait is nearly over.

How many episodes are there?

The third season of Alice in Borderland will have six episodes, which is shorter than the previous seasons that had eight. However, the creator, Shinsuke Sato, assures viewers it will still be full of suspense and exciting moments.

In an interview with Radio Times, he explained that the first two seasons focused on establishing the world and how the games functioned. Now, with Season 3, the setting is already known, so the show is moving past that initial sense of mystery.

Get ready for even more thrilling and unpredictable challenges! If you loved the first two seasons of Alice in Borderland, you’ll definitely enjoy Season 3 – it really captures the essence of the show.

Yamazaki, a lead actor in the show *Arisu*, revealed that Season 3 will feature even more challenging games than previous seasons, drawing from unused content from the original source material.

The collection also includes games created by the director themselves. They’re deeply psychological and feel perfectly suited to the story’s universe.

What happened at the end of Season 2?

The second season concluded by finally explaining the true nature of the Borderlands. After winning the challenging card games, Arisu and Usagi regained consciousness in a hospital and discovered that a massive meteor strike had destroyed Tokyo.

It turns out the Borderlands isn’t a different dimension. Instead, it’s a place between life and death that people experience when they’ve come close to dying – like those affected by the disaster.

Once they’d beaten the Queen of Hearts, the remaining players had to decide whether to return home or stay in the Borderlands. Arisu, Usagi, and their friends chose to go home, but Banda and Yaba decided to remain.

So, when those of us who picked ‘home’ finally woke up from our comas, it was like everything that happened was just…gone from our memories. But for some reason, Arisu and I just kept getting pulled back together, and we ended up becoming a couple anyway.

As the characters step outside for some fresh air, the camera focuses on a table where a deck of cards has been scattered by the wind. Only one card remains: the Joker. This scene sets the stage for the third season of Alice in Borderland.

What to expect from Season 3

The story then fast-forwards to a time when Usagi and Arisu are happily married. But when Usagi is unexpectedly pulled back into the dangerous Borderlands, Arisu rushes after her, and the life-or-death games begin once more.

I was chatting with Yamazaki recently, and he mentioned something really cool about *Alice in Borderland*. He said that seeing Arisu and Usagi on different teams was fascinating because it created totally different vibes and interactions within each group. It was neat to hear him talk about how that impacted the story!

Fans have really grown to love these characters over time, and that’s why viewers can truly feel what they’re going through when faced with dangerous situations.

He mentioned a particularly exciting game featured in the manga, which was hinted at in the trailer. He explained that he was incredibly impressed by the flaming arrows in the manga and was thrilled to see that scene come to life in the script.

Tsuchiya described a new dice game where the gameplay gets increasingly exciting and emotional as players feel more pressure.

This game perfectly embodies the spirit of Alice in Borderland, focusing on the themes of survival, mortality, and finding out what really matters in life.
