The creator of “Call Her Daddy” is carving out fresh paths. As announced on April 29th, Alex Cooper will headline “Call Her Alex”, a new Hulu documentary series. This streaming platform has confirmed the project. The two-part series will delve into Cooper’s experiences as the podcast host of “Call Her Daddy”, with Ry Russo-Young (“Nuclear Family”) directing. In a statement, Cooper expressed, “I’ve been open about my life with the ‘Daddy Gang’ since starting ‘Call Her Daddy’, but this documentary series takes it a step further. It offers a backstage pass to the moments that have molded me – the unfiltered, the chaotic, the intimate aspects I hadn’t felt at ease sharing until now. My aim is for viewers to feel more connected to my journey and more empowered in their own.
Despite Cooper’s suggestion of potential complications in her statement, it remains unclear if Sofia Franklyn, former co-host of CHD, will feature or be addressed in this upcoming series. The series, titled “Unwell” and produced by Cooper’s network, is set to debut at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, with its Hulu premiere following on June 10. See you later, Daddy Gang!
