Pokémon Pokopia shares similarities with relaxing games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including the feature to explore Dream Islands.
Dream Islands are a cool feature in the game that let you explore new places and find items you can’t get where you start. But getting to these islands isn’t easy – you’ll need to hunt down Pokédolls hidden around your current island first.
You need to give these Pokédolls to Drifloon before you can access the special Dream Islands. Here’s a guide to everything you need to know about them in Pokémon Pokopia.
Where to Find Drifloon

To reach Dream Islands, you’ll first need to become friends with Drifloon. This Pokémon doesn’t appear immediately, but you’ll be able to find it soon after you unlock the Rock Smash move.
After you get Rock Smash, use it on the rocks to the left of the ruined Pokémon Center. This will open a path to a beach where you can find Drifloon drifting in the air.
If you speak to Drifloon, it will ask you to build a home for it close to the other villagers. This home needs to include three campfires. After you’ve built it, let Drifloon know, and it will move in!
The area you find Drifloon also has a cave where you can find an Onix inside.
All Pokédoll Types and How to Get Them
Throughout Pokémon Pokopia, collectible Pokédolls are hidden in various places, waiting to be discovered. Finding them all will require a bit of searching!
You’ll find treasures marked by glowing spots on the ground. To get them, use Rock Smash to break the blocks they’re hidden in.
So, in the game, there are different kinds of Pokédolls you can collect. Each one actually unlocks a different Dream Island that Drifloon can fly me to – it’s pretty cool how they all connect!
| Plush | Dream Island | Materials Found |
|---|---|---|
| Arcanine | Volcanic Dream Island | Gold Ore, Iron Ore, Glowing Stone |
| Clefairy | Rock Peak Dream Island | Cave Mushrooms, Copper Ore, Limestone |
| Dragonite | Sky Dream Island | Wastepaper, Pokémetal, Crystal Fragments |
| Eevee | Wasteland Dream Island | Leppa Berries, Vines, Mushrooms |
| Pikachu | Ocean Dream Island | Twin, Sea Glass, Shells |
| Substitute | Random | Random |
| Ditto | Random | Random |
These areas are all inspired by the environments you’re already familiar with. They’re excellent destinations to visit when you need to find particular resources or materials.
Each doll will take you to a different island, but the Substitute and Ditto Pokédolls will instead take you to a random Dream Island.
Flying to Dream Islands
Now that you have a Pokédoll and have unlocked Drifloon, you’re ready to start your adventure to Dream Island! There are two ways to get there.
