Wendy’s goes all-in on cheese with new Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger

Enthusiasts of grilled cheese sandwiches and cheeseburgers have a significant cause for joy, as Wendy’s is set to fulfill their culinary wishes.

At present, Wendy’s burgers are highly sought after in the fast-food sector, and they aim to further enhance their quality.

Previously, certain eateries have dabbled in using grilled cheese as a bun for their dishes, and now, Wendy’s has joined this trend by unveiling their latest offering: The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger.

There’s only one problem, though. It’s only available in one country… for now.

Wendy’s Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger is only in Canada

From May 19th onwards, certain Wendy’s outlets across Canada will begin offering the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger.

The chain presents the item as “a 4-ounce piece of fresh, unfrozen Canadian beef, enhanced with sweet caramelized onions, creamy mayonnaise, and a gooey slice of cheese crafted from Canadian dairy. It’s all nestled within even more cheese, encased by two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns.

To mark its 50 years in Canada, this new menu offering is being unveiled as a special treat for diners, as described by International Culinary Innovation manager Hayley Kianoff. She revealed that this is the very first opportunity for Canadians to savor it.

Therefore, it seems likely that this unique grilled cheese dish might expand its presence to various global locations in the future, much like how Canada got a taste of McDonald’s Big Mac before it became available in the U.S.

In simpler terms, what’s the flavor and price of this item? Previously, in February, a YouTube content creator named Dave Drew had the opportunity to try it during a preliminary promotional phase and described it as “tasty.

Currently, it was priced at about $7.59 CAD ($5.43 USD), making it more affordable compared to Wendy’s signature Baconator.

We need to observe whether this new offering is popular among the people, and if it continues to be liked, there’s a chance it could become a regular fixture on our menu in the future.
